From the mid-late 1950s to early 1960s, a structured, black Ostrich handbag made by Koret, NYC. Koret was established in 1929 by Richard Koret. By the 1940s the company was a leader in the handbag industry, combining great design with quality craftsmanship for the US and export markets. During WWII Koret designed the bags for the women’s divisions of the military and for the Red Cross. A classic and substantial vintage bag in a black ostrich skin and a tailored red leather interior.
